Hi there! My name is Mariana Osorio, but you can call me Mar, or IronMar. I'm currently based in New York City, but I grew up in a little town in the south of Mexico called Chilpancingo, Guerrero; I know it's hard to remember, so just keep in mind it rhymes well with "Duolingo" and "Ferrero". I have many passions in life such as photography, welding, traveling, eating peanut butter and toast every single morning, and I even play the violin.
“Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time”
I have a deep commitment with art and with myself. This commitment implies to assume my artistic vocation fully and to develop it with continued effort under every circumstance. It is this commitment that inspires me to keep looking up for new challenges and goals, always in search of clear and unexplored skies to open my wings.
I've had the privilege to work with world-renown institutions such as MoMA PS1, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Bronx Documentary Center, and the Mexican Embassy in New York.
Oh, I also won an international video contest back in 2016!
